Chapter One – What is a Thought Leader?
Thought Leader
You may have heard the phrase before. It’s something of a buzzword, sure. But is it a buzzword that means
something? Or is it just this generation’s “synergy”?
Well, I certainly can’t predict whether or not we’ll all be tired of hearing it in a few years, or whether constant and inappropriate use by the media will drain it of all its meaning—
but I do know that it means something very powerful and very important right now in business, sales, marketing, and PR.
A Thought Leader is a person who… get this… leads the thoughts of other people. With their words and their actions and their words and their ideas and their words and products and words…
Thought Leaders use words— blogs, articles, books, presentations, e-books, informational products, tweets— to spread their ideas, to expand their influence, to create relationships, to sell their services.
